Roger - 2018
Meet Roger (8), the loud and spunky Maltese dog that has helped welcome the Spunky Seniors Dog Sanctuary's newest residents. He's a protective and adventurous guy who loves to show the ropes to all of his new friends at the sanctuary.
Ollie - 2020
Our first super senior resident (16), Ollie, is a sweet Shitz Poo pooch who loves to cuddle - almost more than he loves peppers and carrots. He’s a sleepy guy and is always down for a nap. He certainly does not let his blindness get in the way of dinner time.
Winnie - 2023
One of our wisest dogs is Winnie (12), a sweet Carin Terrier. She is a member of dog MENSA in our minds - incredibly curious, intelligent, and clingy. She loves to cuddle and is always looking for a friend. We are unsure how anyone could give this one up.
Banjo - 2023
The tiniest Banjo (15), also known as JoJo, a five-pound Yorkshire Terrier who is as sweet as can be is our first hospice case. Poor fella was thrown onto the highway and had teeth so poor his lower jaw was removed. He somehow still manages to enjoy dinner time the most!
Callie - 2023
We drove two hours to pickup Callie (9), our 80 pound Bernese Mountain Dog and first big dog addition! Callie is a former puppy mill breeding dog, and she is the friendliest pup in the world with her signature “sassy paw” move that always gets her more pets.
Mikey - 2023
Our newest addition, Mikey, is a 10-pound bundle of love and joy. Despite being completely blind and deaf, Mikey loves exploring his new home and receiving lots of butt scratches.
Fiona - 2023
Fiona came to us from the same place as Callie over at Phoenix Animal Rescue. She is senior for her breed at 5 1/2 years old. Often described as "stupidly friendly," she manages to win over everyone she meets through her bright eyes and wide smile!
Emmie - 2023
Emmie is our first true hospice case, having stage 5/6 heart murmurs on both sides. Emmie is an adorable poodle mix who acts as though she is 2 years old. She loves to play fetch with her Batman toy and LOVES to eat tuna!
